Shades crashes when external monitor is unplugged.

Description

Macbook Pro 9,2, 13" mid 2012, OS X Mavericks version 10.9.2

Shades version 1.2

Shades crashes when external monitor (Dell 2312HM plugged in through a Displayport cable) is unplugged. I only have Shades to change the brightness of the external monitor; Shades is set to show no menu and no slider control for the internal screen. Error message reads:

An exception of class NilObjectException was not handled. The application must shut down.

Exception Message: image is nil

Updates

Same here. When I plug in or unplug my external monitor the application crashes. After restart everything is fine but kind of annoying. Thanks for your work!

This happens to me also, however it happens when my monitor goes to sleep also not just when it is unplugged. So it happens every morning when I start work...

Looks like this issue hasn't been solved. Same thing almost 2 years later from last report.
