"i" fails to show most of the time

  • Type: Incorrect Functionality
  • Version Tested: 1.1r1 (PPC)
  • OS Version Affected: Mac OS X 10.4 PPC
  • Status: Open

An on-going problem with MagiCal on both my G4 iMac (0S X 10.4.11) and my Core 2 Duo MacBook (OS X 10.5.5). I have great difficulty accessing the "i" in order to go to preferences or quit MaciCal. I removed application, plist and reinstalled the application. When I click on time or date, the drop down calendar appears, but the "i" is never there on the first click. If I immediately click on the time or date, the calendar appears and occasionally the "i" is also there. If I want to get to the preference pane, I have to launch Activity Monitor to quit MagiCal and re-launch it. Then it may be possible to get the "i". Otherwise, I have to restart the computer. This is not a big issue once I have date and time formatted the way I want, but there should be a better way to access the preferences and other commands, one that works consistently, unlike the present method.
