Updates

This happens to me too. When I use the legacy calendar option checked also, you can\\\'t click on a day and have it take you to iCal.
But if legacy calendar is not checked, you can click on a day, it automatically takes you to iCal.
The thing is that, i like the look of the legacy calendar, and not the other one.

The reason it's called "legacy" calendar is that it's the old version that doesn't include iCal integration. It's not intended as an alternative skin - it's just there for users of the old version who didn't want the new look and feel or calendar integration.

Adding calendar integration to the legacy calendar would sort of defeat the point, but perhaps I can separate the look and behaviour into two separate preferences. I'll give it some thought.

when choosing legacy calendar it will take you to another desktop when you click on the calendar date or time in the menu bar. Don't no if this is what its support to do or not for the older OS's but I'm on OS X El Capitan. I don't need legacy was just trying it out to see what it was. Now that I have read the above comments I have taken the check mark out of it. However just in case its not support to do that I thought I would report it.
