Shades Bug Report

Screen fades upon startup

  • Type: Incorrect Functionality
  • Version Tested: 1.2b2 (Intel)
  • OS Version Affected: Mac OS X 10.5 Intel
  • Status: Open

Description

I have Shades set as a login item, and every time Shades starts, the brightness is set to zero, causing me to have to use the Alt+Esc hot key to restore the normal brightness. When Shades starts, the brightness should not change until you change it. I don't like it when my screen dims after I log in and I can't remember why it's happening! I hope this is fixed in the next update!

Same problem - Shades is deactivated bewfore shutdown - activates itself on login and sets the screen brightness to last "dim" setting (even though brightness set to maximum through shades before deactivating.)

Thanks

OS X 10.5.4 -- same thing here, need it to be rock solid and know when I turn on the comp/monitor I'm still within calibration.
