MagiCal Feature Request

Escape characters in date and time format strings.

  • Status: Implemented in version 1.1a10

If I want the date to read "Week 24" the format string "Week W" produces "24eek 24". Allowing format characters to be escaped would resolve this. e.g. The string "\\Week W" to produce "Week 24."

This is now implemented. Use a backlash (\) before any character that you wish to display literally. Use a double backslash (\\) to display the backslash character itself.

This works great. Thanks for all the work. Two feature requests implemented in less than a week. That's above and beyond.
