"Float on Desktop" button state-swapped

  • Type: Incorrect Functionality
  • Version Tested: 1.0.9r4 (Universal)
  • OS Version Affected: Mac OS X 10.4 Intel
  • Status: Not a Bug

Description

Checkbox "Float on Desktop" in the preferences pane "Calendar" leaves a calendar that can be repositioned only when the button is unchecked. This is counter-intuitive. Checked box should leave calendar visible after it is moved. Unchecked box should force calendar disappearance when it is moved.

Updates

I'm not sure what you mean. When the "Float on Desktop" option is selected, the calendar can be dragged to wherever you like on screen. Once released it will drop down to desktop level.

If you view the desktop, by using expose for example, the calendar is still there, and can still be move around by dragging it.

Is that not how it is behaving for you?

Oh. Um... I guess I didn't understand that's the way it's supposed to work. When I saw 'float' I expected it would stay where it was put. Nevermind.

It is a little unclear. I'll change the wording in the next release.
