Change Monitor Arrangement = Dissappearing Calendar

  • Type: Incorrect Functionality
  • Version Tested: 1.1a6 (PPC)
  • OS Version Affected: Mac OS X 10.4 Intel
  • Status: Under Review

Description

working on a powerbook primarily just with the laptop screen, but frequently with an attached monitor as well (with the external monitor arrangement, my menubar stays with my laptop screen).

After working with an attached monitor and then going back to laptop screen-only, Magical's calendar doesnt appear on click -- as if Magical still thinks the external monitor is attached (e.g. using the desktop measurements of laptop + monitor to calculate calendar placement) rather than recognizing that now I'm using only my laptop's screen.

Updates

MagiCal's placement should not be affected by a second screen, since it is tied to the menu bar, which remains on the main display.

When you connect your screen, does MagiCal's placement change? Or is it only when the screen is disconnected again that it happens?

When you click the icon after disconnecting the screen, what happens exactly? Does the menu turn blue correctly? And can you see a thin shadow appear beneath the menu bar where the calendar would normally be, or nothing at all?

Does it still happen when you use the legacy calendar option?
