MagiCal "disappears" when menubar space is limited on MacBook Pro

  • Type: Performance

Thank you very much for MagiCal. I've donated.

I have MagiCal configured to launch upon login and to display to the leftmost of my other menubar items (e.g., MenuMeters, Sound, AppleScript Menu).

On my 15.4 inch MacBook Pro, when I launch an app (e.g., OmniWeb; Photoshop Elements) whose menubar item uses up an amount of the menubar that encroaches on where MagiCal is located, MagiCal stops displaying in all apps (including Finder).

This is reproducible on my end.

To recover, I force-quit MagiCal in Activity Monitor and then relaunch it.

However, as soon as I return to the offending app, the problem recurs.

Any chance this could be worked around?
