Installed Shades, internet connect was completely messed up.

Description

Let me explalin:

I have a monitor that makes a buzzing noise when the brightness level is not at 100. This level hurts my eyes, which is why I installed Shades on my Mac. This way, I could keep the monitor brightness setting at 100 so no buzz was present, but reduce the brightness with your freeware so I could save my eyes.

I installed shades...and suddenly after, I noticed that Safari was not connecting to any servers. I thought my internet might just be going slow, not working, etc. It happens right? It was the same the next day with Safari. So I installed Fire Fox and I got the same results. I was not able to go to any website, and I would get errors that the server could not be connected to. Decide to wait it out another day...and still the same problem. I reset my cable modem, reset my router, diagnose problems in my network settings, check the dsn, etc. Everything seemed to be fine (settings wise). Other computers were working fine, just not mine.

Then I realized I installed Shades and this has been happening ever since. Just for grins, I uninstalled Shades...and now every website works perfectly fine. I am able to connect each time, no problems.

I have no idea how these are related, and I find it hard to believe, but from installing Shades and having my internet go to crap, to uninstalling it and having my internet work again, I just see no other conclusion to why it was happening.
