Menu extra background doesn't match theme

  • Type: Cosmetic
  • Version Tested: 1.1a2 (Universal)
  • OS Version Affected: Mac OS X 10.4 Intel
  • Status: Fixed in version 1.1a9

Description

For some reason, the new alpha version of MagiCal puts a weird white background behind the text and images you select for the system menubar. Previously, MagiCal just used a transparent background, which was fine. The new one conflicts with any ShapeShifter theme a user may have selected.

Makes it pretty horrible looking...

Updates

Curious... the new version does draw in the white menu background, but it uses theme-compliant Apple APIs to do it, so it ought to match your shape-shifter theme.

Can you please send a screenshot in reply to the notification email you receive, and I'll look into it.

In the meantime I suggest reverting to MagiCal 1.0.9r4, which can still be downloaded from the MagiCal page (http://www.charcoaldesign.co.uk/magical).
