Localization not working properly

  • Type: Incorrect Functionality
  • Version Tested: 1.1a8 (Universal)
  • OS Version Affected: Mac OS X 10.4 Intel
  • Status: Closed

Description

Greetings.

I created a Hebrew version of Localizable.strings which I will gladly send if you want), but MagiCal is refusing to recognize it. This is even after disabling all the factory-default localizations. The only way I could get it to work is to replace the English localization files with my Hebrew ones.

Also: Shouldn't you be getting a lot of this localization info from Cocoa?

Updates

Hi Aaron,

By all means send me your Hebrew localisation file and I will be happy to add it to the next release. You can send it as an attachment in reply to the notification email you should have received with this note.

MagiCal doesn't support DIY localisation, so I wouldn't necessarily expect you to be have been able to integrate the file yourself.

I am not aware of any Cocoa functionality that would be applicable to automating localisation for MagiCal, but if you know differently then please point me towards some documentation and I will gladly investigate it.
