Crash upon startup

Description
Running OS 10.6.4 and using Magical 1.1r2 (latest available from this home page) Intel version. MacBook 2.4 (May 2010 edition).
Upon starting Magical, I get the message:
An exception of class NilObjectException was not handled. The application must shut down.
Did this repeatedly and after restart. If you tell me where to find any log, I can supply that too.
I downloaded the Universal Binary and it is running fine. Love the program! Simple, clean and very helpful.
